Ways of seeing
Back again after a long hiatus. There is one reason I haven’t been posting, and its name is Fallout 3. Goddamn is that game addictive. It takes up my time that I’d normally be writing posts or even finding the stuff that I do post.
Here is a short little BBC series from the 70s that I just finished watching called “Ways of Seeing”. The show is an introduction to how we see images/art, and how our modern way of viewing – from reproductions to video images – drastically alters our perspective on art. It is always good to be aware of how, exactly, one’s environment changes one’s viewpoint. I hardly agree with everything that is said, but I found it eye-opening nonetheless.
